Zach Kenny '10 Recruiting Profile

Hey, my name is Zach Kenny and I am a senior at Hicksville High School. I am 5'9" and weigh in at 165lbs. I am a left handed pitcher (primary position) and an outfielder (secondary position). I have been playing baseball ever since 5 years old and I've been selected on my town's all-star team, every year since I was 8 years old . I currently play for my high school varsity team and also play travel ball during the off seasons. I pride myself in being a team player that gives 100% during every practice & game. I was co-captain in my junior year and this year I was moved up to act as captain of my team. My coaches know they can count on me to lead by example and be a role model for the younger players moving up this year. I am confident that I have the commitment and mentality to act as team captain for my 2010 varsity team. Having the privilege of being a team captain I make sure I show leadership skills on and off the field. I am a very coach-able player who will listen and try to correct whatever my coaches tell me. I would like to stay local for my first two years of college but I am always open to the idea of going away to play ball if the right opportunity comes along. The size of the school doesn't make a difference to me...whether it be big or small I will perform to the best of my abilities. I am interested in becoming a physical therapist when I graduate college because it gives me a chance to help others. I am looking to play any type of baseball in college just because I love the game and I want to perform at the next level.
