Hi, my name is Phillip Neal. I have been playing highly competitive baseball for the last 7 years with 40-60 games per season at East Cobb Baseball, which is ranked the #1 baseball program in the US. This year I played with the Sandy Plains Prowlers as their starting catcher. Currently my batting average is over .350 and recently in a high school showcase went .571 against 3 starting pitchers for 6-A schools. ECB averages only 7 teams per year and have over 300 players trying out for only 1 or 2 positions per team with only 2 catchers per team. I have been catching full time for the last 3 seasons, 2 for East Cobb, in rotation and starting all games this season with Sandy Plains.
I have been raised to appreciate hard work and effort and approach playing athletics with humility. It is a privilege to play baseball and I have to keep this by striving to better my self and my playing every day.
I work hard to improve every day. I strive to be a good person and player on and off the field. My goal is to play college baseball as a catcher or outfielder or first baseman and to transfer my skills from playing at East Cobb to a college level. After graduation I desire to join our armed forces as an officer in the Marine Corps or Army.
