I want to play College Baseball.
My name is Vinny Antinori. I am a catcher for P-Squared Athletics and I attend a Catholic school named Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Atlanta, GA. This is a small school with about 300 students.
My parents have raised me to always find strength in my Faith and my Family. They also inspired me to follow my passion which is baseball.
Achieving a dream is never easy. Great things come with great sacrifices. I have dedicated myself to doing what is necessary to reach my dream. So I work hard both in school and on baseball field.
At 14, I chose to play baseball exclusively. I am the first on the field and the last to leave. Being part of a team comes with great responsibility. My team is my second family and I am accountable for mentally being prepares and being physically ready.
Watching players like Yadier Molina, Salvador Perez, Jorge Posada playing as "generals on the field" is inspiration for me to do the same with every team I am a member of. These are my role models on the field.
My Father has always said: "You are never as good as you think you are". I understand I/we always have room for improvement which comes by pushing myself and those around me. And this is what I would bring to any College who selects me to play for them.
My hobbies include: biking, swimming, writing, playing guitar, family traditions, golf, traveling, reading, spending time with family, and community service.
I still hold the state swimming record set at Georgia Tech Championship for a 25 yard Freestyle when I was 10 years old.
I held the scoring and rushing record at NYO Sports in Atlanta playing football at age 11.
I played golf for my Junior High team in 9th grade.
At Church, I dedicate my time as a team leader at vacation Bible School. I attend community service events like feeding the homeless, setting up for holiday events, as well as participating in the Easter Vigil service. I was an alter boy until age 15.
Overall, the one thing that I want the most is to fulfill my dream of playing College baseball, honor God, and making my family and friends proud.
