Ryan Blackstone '17 Recruiting Profile

My top collegiate goal is to earn a degree that prepares me for a successful career after baseball is over. I would like to grow and develop academically as well as athletically.

I work hard both on and off the baseball field and strive for perfection. I take a lot of pride in my work ethic, both in and out of the classroom,  and my ability to overcome obstacles. I'm a humble player and my integrity gains the respect of my teammates. As a coaches son, I grew up learning the game and my baseball IQ is probably my strongest tool.  I understand that baseball is a detail oriented game and that the difference between success and failure is generally found in the details. 

If I am given the opportunity to be part of your program, you will be getting a "scrappy" player that plays the game hard, with a lot of heart, and someone who wants to grow into a leader.
