My name is Jayson Curtis and I go to Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since I began playing baseball at a young age, I have worked hard to try to play at the next level. I have good grades, with a 4.12 core GPA, and I would love to major in Mechanical Engineering, but could major in other sciences related to Mechanical Engineering. I am in advanced classes and I work hard in the classroom. I also started at first base in the AZ Senior Classic All-Academic game. I have great speed for a player of my size and I am very quick at first base. I can unexpectedly steal a base, and I run everything out. I batted .420 (21 for 50) in my sophomore year and hit a couple homeruns. My junior year I batted .452 (28-62) with 15 doubles. I had 17 RBI and also had a 2.07 ERA. My coaches love the work that I put in and love my mentality. I believe that a team is better than individuals, and I try to be the best team player that I can be. I would love to play college baseball and I work towards that goal every day
